Frequently Asked Questions About This Cruise

When is the best time to charter in the Caribbean?

From late November to mid-May. This is the winter dry season: the weather is ideal without extreme humidity, and the trade winds blow steadily between 15 and 20 knots, making sailing an exhilarating yet safe experience.

Are special documents required for entry?

Yes, since the BVI are a British Overseas Territory, a valid Passport is required (with at least 6 months of remaining validity). For most European, UK, US, and Canadian citizens, no tourist visa is required. If your flights transit through the United States or Puerto Rico, an ESTA is required.

How much time is spent sailing each day?

Very little, which is why the BVI are known as the world's charter capital. The islands form a sheltered channel (Sir Francis Drake Channel) where navigation is done by line of sight. Island-to-island hops take 1 to 3 hours maximum (except for the leg to Anegada), leaving plenty of time for swimming and snorkeling.
